CAT Animation Program Alumni and Emmy Award Winner
Nothing makes us happier at CAT than seeing our former students succeed.
At this year’s 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Bardel Studios won ‘Outstanding Animated Program’ for ‘Rick & Morty’. Producers submitted the third episode of Season 3, “Pickle Rick” for consideration, and this marks the first win in this category for the Adult Swim comedy.
What is really exciting (for us!) is that part of the animation team for Rick & Morty is CAT animation alumni Kaylee Gauthier, who graduated from the AGFVE program in July 2015.
How Kaylee’s Work Ethic Helped Her To Become An Award-Winning Animator
“Kaylee was a very hard working, talented student. She demonstrated a lot of diversity in her skill sets which has benefited her greatly early in her career,” says Sean Ridgway, Department Head AGFVE. “Kaylee was snapped up by Bardel immediately after graduation 5 years ago and has been with them every step of the way.” Bardel’s work on Rick and Morty spans three seasons and 31 episodes, including the pilot.
